본 센터는 2009년부터 엘에이 관할 푸드 뱅크의 파트너 (구 한인타운 다목적 연장자 센터)가 되어 극빈자 가정에 무료 식료품을 전달하는데 앞장서 왔습니다. 코비드-19 팬데믹 여파로 그 필요는 급상승하였으나 또한 직접적인 식품 전달에 제한이 있는 관계로 푸드뱅크의 기금 모금팀을 조성하여 지속적인 후원을 하고 있습니다. 무료 식품 조달은 기아 퇴치뿐만 아니라 극빈자 가정이 노숙자로 전락하는 것도 방지합니다. 모든 주민들을 위한 밝고 건강한 지역사회는 여러분의 참여로부터 시작됩니다.
Koreatown Empowerment Center (formerly Korean Town Multipurpose Senior Center) has been a partner to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank since 2010, taking the lead in delivering free groceries to the most impoverished families. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for it has risen sharply. As there are restrictions on direct food distribution, The Center has created a fundraising team at the Food Bank for continuous support. Free food not only stops hunger. It also prevents the neediest families from becoming homeless. A bright and healthy community for all residents begins with your participation and support.
